Review: Karma Yoga, San Francisco

Back home in the Bay Area for a few days, so I met up with one of my high school besties for a workout and dinner date. She is a regular at @karmayoga_sf and raves about it, so I was excited to try it out. We took the inferno hot Pilates 60 minute class and damn it felt good.

  • Hot Pilates workout: This class is a blend of mat pilates, yoga, and low impact cardio intervals. Lots of abs!!! The class is heated to 90 degrees with 30% humidity.

  • Sweat Level: 12/10 left the class feeling like I sweat out every toxin in my body πŸ’¦

  • Studio Aesthetic: They truly nailed the urban yogi vibe in here. Essential oils diffusing when you walk in and a spacious studio with two floors and lots of zen space.

  • Details. This class was crowded. Sometimes it can be hectic with dozens of yoga mats in one room with no space awareness. This studio has little numbers on the floor and each person is assigned a space, so even with the masses of people it is nicely organized. πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

  • Locker room: lots of room with showers and has all the necessities (face wash, hair ties, dry shampoo, etc.). Has private lockers or public in waiting room.

  • Parking: Sucks, but it’s the city so thats inevitable. Be sure to get there at least 15 min early, so you can try and snag street parking.
